When you need calibration

If any of this has happened to your car, call us.

ADAS calibration isn't optional after these events. If the cameras and sensors are even slightly out of alignment, your safety systems can fail when you need them most.

Windscreen replacement

If your front-facing camera lives behind the windscreen (most modern cars), it needs recalibrating the moment the glass is changed.

Accident or knock

Even a low-speed bump can knock cameras and radars out of alignment. After any front, rear or side impact — calibration is essential.

"Calibration required" warning

If your dashboard is showing a calibration warning, your safety systems are either disabled or running blind. Don't ignore it.

Suspension or wheel work

Anything that changes the geometry of the car — new springs, shocks, control arms, or a fresh wheel alignment — affects how the sensors see the road.

Camera or sensor replaced

Any new component in the ADAS chain — a front camera, radar unit, or sensor — must be calibrated before it'll work properly.

Systems behaving oddly

Lane-keep pulling at the wheel when it shouldn't? Adaptive cruise braking for nothing? AEB triggering randomly? Calibration is usually the fix.

Mobile vs Calibration Centre

Why send your car somewhere
when we can come to you?

Calibration centres mean booking weeks ahead, driving to them, leaving the car for a day. Mobile means a single appointment at your address. Same result, much less hassle.

Sending your car to a calibration centre

  • Book 2–3 weeks ahead
  • Drive there (or pay for recovery transport)
  • Leave the car for the day
  • Arrange a lift home, or hang around
  • Hidden costs: transport, fuel, your time

We bring the calibration bay to you

  • Same-week appointments — often within 48 hours
  • Your car stays where it is — no driving anywhere
  • Most jobs done in under 90 minutes
  • One fixed price — quoted before we book
  • Same OE-grade equipment used by main dealers
Autel IA600 — Mobile Calibration System

No shortcuts. We use OE-grade calibration equipment, trained and accredited technicians, and produce the same documentation a main dealer would. The only difference is we come to you.

  • IMI-accredited technicians Every job is performed by an Institute of the Motor Industry–accredited calibration specialist. Properly trained, properly certified.

What our customers say

Trusted by drivers and workshops
across the Southeast.

★★★★★

"Had the windscreen done by a chain who 'forgot' the calibration. Booked ADAS Specialists, they came to my drive in Reigate two days later, sorted it in an hour, and emailed me the certificate before they'd even pulled away. Brilliant service."

Sarah K. Reigate, Surrey — Audi Q5 owner
★★★★★

"We use ADAS Specialists for all our windscreen jobs that need ADAS. They turn up when they say they will, do the job properly, and the paperwork is spot on. Saves us a fortune in subbing it out."

Dave M. Workshop Manager · Crawley
★★★★★

"Knocked a kerb hard enough to set off every warning light on the dash. ADAS Specialists came to the office car park, ran diagnostics, recalibrated the front camera and adaptive cruise. Honest about what was needed, fair price."

James T. London SE1 — Volvo XC60 owner
Common questions

The things people ask us most.

My windscreen company said calibration was included. Do I still need this?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some glass replacement chains do a proper static calibration on-site, and some quietly skip it or do a dynamic-only calibration when the car actually requires static (or vice versa). If you've been handed the car back without a calibration certificate, or the dashboard is still showing warnings, it almost certainly wasn't done properly. Send us a photo of your invoice and we'll tell you straight whether it's been done.

How long does the job take?

Most jobs are done in 60 to 90 minutes on your driveway. A single-system calibration (just the front camera, say) can take 45 minutes. A full multi-system calibration on a car with lots of sensors — 360° cameras, blind spot, lane keep, AEB, adaptive cruise — can take closer to two hours. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book.

Will my insurance cover the cost?

If the calibration is needed because of an accident or repair that's covered by an insurance claim — yes, almost always. Our reports are designed to be insurer-accepted: pre-scan, calibration record, post-scan, signed certificate. If you're paying directly (e.g. after a windscreen replacement done outside an insurance claim) then it's out-of-pocket. We can always invoice your insurer or repair shop directly if that's easier.

What if I just ignore the warning light?

The honest answer: your car will probably still drive. But the safety systems — autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise — either won't work, or will work badly. They might trigger when they shouldn't, or fail to trigger when they should. That's a road safety issue and, in the event of a claim or MOT issue, a paper trail you don't want. It's cheap to fix and it doesn't take long. Get it sorted.

What do you need on site to do the job?

A reasonably flat, level surface (driveway, car park, workshop floor — all fine), enough clearance in front of the car for the calibration targets to be set up (usually 4–5 metres), and shelter from heavy rain or direct sunlight if possible. Most domestic driveways are fine. If you're not sure, send us a photo and we'll confirm.

Do you work weekends or after hours?

Saturdays by appointment — yes, regularly. Evenings if needed. Sundays only for trade emergencies. If your week is jammed, just ask.
